Antimachia is a lovely and traditional village, it’s not really somewhere to stay, if you're the sort of person that prefers a more authentic holiday then there is limited accommodation available as well as a number of tavernas, shops and restaurants but nothing compared to what you'd find in the usual tourist resorts.
Antimachia is an ancient settlement and retains a lot of it’s character and charm. In the village you’ll find Milos tou Papa, which translates to mill of the priest and is a traditional windmill that’s been well restored and looked after. Another attraction in the village is the traditional house of Antimachia which is a modern house but built and decorated in the traditional ways.
All this makes Antimachia definitely worth a visit, especially as you’ll likely be going right past it on your way to or from the airport.
Antimachia is a stones throw from Ippokratis airport, close to the centre of Kos island in Greeces Dodecanese island group.
It's around 23 kilometres south west of Kos town which would usually take about 30 minutes in the car.

Nightlife in Antimachia is minimal, there's a couple of places to eat and that's where you'll remain with a glass of wine or a cold bear until you're ready for bed. There's no clubs or late night bars for entertainment but that's perhaps part of the appeal.
