Sidari

Everything you need to know to plan your trip to Sidari

What's Sidari Like

Sidari Corfu

Sidari is a very popular tourist resort that predominantly caters to package holiday makers with lots of hotels, restaurants, bars, supermarkets, travel agents, vehicle hire shops, souvenir shops and even a campsite just outside the town. All this makes it perfect for those that simply want to stay close to their hotel whilst visiting many different places for lunch, dinner or evening drinks.

Some would say that Sidari has lost a lot of it’s traditional Greek charm due to the way it’s grown over the years, and this is probably true but you don’t come to Sidari for Authentic Greek culture, you come for the convenience of everything on your doorstep including the fabulous Sidari beach which is arguably one of the best beaches in Corfu.

There’s ample selection when it comes to accommodation with hotels and apartments scattered around all over the town, there’s places to suit most budgets but not much in the way of high end luxury.

What's the nightlife like in Sidari

Sidari Corfu

Sidari offers a vast array of evening entertainment, with some places having live music, Greek dancing, plate smashing or Karaoke. There’s also plenty of cocktail bars and even some clubs that are open late into the night.

The nightlife in Sidari can be quite lively, there’s a number of British style bars like you might expect to find in Kavos or one of the other typical 18-30 style resorts that Greece has a few of but it’s n where near as raucous. That doesn’t mean that it’s no good for families or older people, it’s just that there’s the option for both types of night out. No matter what you’re looking for, entertainment wise, Sidari has you covered.

What to do around Sidari

There is a cracking beach in Sidari, it’s probably what made the town so popular in the first place. It’s huge and has all the amenities you would expect from a popular tourist beach and is the ideal place to keep kids of all ages entertained on those hot summer days that are virtually guaranteed. You can find out more about it by visiting our Sidari beach page.

Sidari is also close to a number of attractions that are worth a visit, first is the Sidari Water Park, it’s actually a hotel with a large pool and some slides but non residents can still visit and it’ll keep the kids entertained whilst you relax on the sun loungers or at the bar.

There’s a scuba diving school close to the beach which is a great way to get to know the Greek coastline and some of the sea creatures that call it home. There’s also the rock formations of Cape Drastis and the beach of Canal D’Amour that we would highly recommend taking a look at whilst in the area.

Where to stay in Sidari

Sidari has loads of options for places to stay from small family run B&Bs to large all-inclusive hotels. There's even hotels with superb swimming pools and slides which would be a great option for families.

Hotels in and around the town offer convenient, easy access to restaurants, bars and shops with the obvious downside that they're a bit more noisy. For those that prefer peace and quiet around the pool and in the evenings look for somewhere slightly further out.
