Paleokastritsa

Our complete guide to Paleokastritsa in the north west of Corfu

What's Paleokastritsa Like

Paleokastritsa Corfu

The Paleokastritsa region is traditional Greek and has outstanding natural beauty but still has everything a tourist needs, there’s also a decent amount of shops, bars and restaurants.

Paleokastritsa is ideal for families and couples but probably not lively enough for teens or those looking to party. The main section of the resort is down by the harbour where there’s a number of tavernas. The rest of the village is spread out so it’s great if you like a bit of a walk. Within the village you’ll find a couple of dive schools, the Corfu Aquarium and boat tours leaving from the harbour, you’ll also be able to rent a boat to explore the Corfu coast line on your own.

If you enjoy walking, there are a couple of villages up the hill where you can take in spectacular views as a reward for your efforts. There’s also good views from the main coastal road and a lovely beach to top up your tan and relax after all that walking.

The nightlife is good but without late night / early morning clubbing. You can find karaoke or live music, there's trendy cocktail bars and quieter options too.

Paleokastritsa would be a good choice for those that like to enjoy a nice meal and a few drinks, maybe a sing and dance but possibly not for all night revellers.
