Everything you need to know to plan your trip to Messonghi

What's Messonghi Like

Messonghi Corfu

Messonghi, sometimes known as Mesoggi is a small resort that kind of merges into Moraitiki. Although it's small it does still have all the amenities that you might need, there’s a good selection of restaurants and bars, a couple of supermarkets and some shops including a car hire places. There’s two ATMs, one close to the northern end of the beach and the other near the Aquarius beach hotel.

Most of the shops and restaurants are located around the beach area or along the main road that leads up the coast towards Benitses but not all, the village is quite spread out so some walking may be required.

Also in Messonghi is a boat hire company at the northern end of the beach, this is great for those that want to explore the Corfu coast in their own time. Alternatively you can book yourself on to one of the boat tours that are also available at the northern end of the beach and let a local show you around.

Messonghi is good for kids as they can play on the beach or if you’re staying at the Messonghi Beach Holiday resort, which is technically in Moraitiki but who’s checking, then they have a couple of slides into the pool that they’ll definitely enjoy.

What's the nightlife like in Messonghi

Messonghis night life is relatively low key with restaurants being the main staple for the people that stay here. There’s also a few bars that stay open late including a couple of beach bars where you’ll get a nice view along with your beverage of choice.

Don’t expect wild nights, there’s no clubs at all in Messonghi, a nice cocktail with some music is probably as lively as it gets but there is a good variety of establishments so you wont be stuck for somewhere new to try.

As Messonghi overlaps with Moraitki you’re essentially getting a 2 for 1, you can stay in the quieter Messonghi but also walk to Moraitiki for the slightly busier night life up there.
