A helpful guide to Lefkimmi in Corfu

What's Lefkimmi Like

Potami River Lefkimmi Corfu

Lefkimmi is a traditional port town spread out amongst the olive groves and vineyards of the area. It's not one of the most popular tourist resorts, it's more of a local working town than anything else.

There's a river that runs through the town and restaurants on either side offer a lovely place to sit and have a coffee or a meal and watch the world go by.

The harbour has daily ferries to Igoumenitsa on the mainland as well as trips to the islands of Paxos and Antipaxos. Another option is to get on one of the boat trips that takes you around the island and stops at a number of beaches or villages on the way round.

Lefkimmi has a good selection of bars and restaurants as well as cash machines, car hire outlets, supermarkets and souvenir shops so you have everything you need on your doorstep.

What's the nightlife like in Lefkimmi

There is a couple of things missing from Lefkimmi though, the first is late night bars with entertainment.

There is a night club but not much else, as it's not a very popular tourist destination there isn't things like Greek nights or karaoke.

If you fancy this kind of evenings entertainment then grab a taxi down to Kavos and you won’t be disappointed.

What to do around Lefkimmi

The other thing Lefkimmi is lacking is a good beach, the closest is Bouka beach at the end of the river, alternatively Kavos beach is a good option as it's absolutely huge and well organised with loads of water sports available to keep everyone in your group busy all day.

If you're willing and able to travel a bit, we’d highly recommend making the 20 minute drive to Agios Georgios south beach or the 40 minute drive to Halikounas beach where you can try some kite surfing.
