Gouvia

Our complete guide to Gouvia in Corfu

What's Gouvia Like

Gouvia Corfu

Gouvia is a former fishing village that’s been developed over the years. At one time it was pretty much a single road with bars, restaurants and shops rather than a complete village but as more and more establishments open it’s becoming a genuine tourist resort with all the expected facilities like car hire outlets, super markets, a good choice of accommodation and plenty of evening entertainment.

We would recommend Gouvia for couples and families who want a low key break but with the option of popping over to Kerkyra for the night life, shopping or sight seeing. Some kids and teens may find it a tad quiet so you might need to choose somewhere else if your little ones get bored easily.

One of the main attractions to Gouvia is the huge Gouvia Marina which has over 1000 births and is lined with restaurants making it a fantastic place to sit and watch the locals go about their business.
