Benitses

Our complete guide to Benitses in Corfu

What's Benitses Like

Benitses Corfu

Benitses is a small village that's also often referred to as Mpenitses.

Back in the 80s, Benitses was the go-to resort for the 18-30 crowd. That is definitely not the case any more and some say Benitses still looks like somewhere past it’s prime but others think it’s beautiful again and back to it’s traditional fishing village roots.

There's a pebble and shingle beach with a marina at the northern end that's home to close to 200 boats and yachts. The beach backs onto the road where you’ll find parking and a number of shops and tavernas. To read more about the beach go to our Benitses Beach page.

Benitses has all the usual tourist facilities like supermarkets, restaurants, bars, travel agents where you can book trips or rent cars, bikes or quads as well as a handful of cash machines dotted around the village and a bakery too.

Benitses is probably best suited to couples looking for a relaxing break rather than young adults looking to party and with the beach being pebble and shingle it’s not ideal for kids either.

What's the nightlife like in Benitses

The night life can be a bit quiet for some peoples tastes, especially if you're expecting it to be like it was in the 70s and 80s. There's no longer dozens of late night bars and clubs with just a handful remaining that stay open late. If you're looking for a more peaceful resort with the option of a couple of late night drinks then Benitses could be the perfect choice.

There’s a good selection of restaurants including fish, traditional Greek and Chinese, many of which are based around the sea front so you get to take in the views whilst enjoying your drinks or food.
